exhibition cologne - hongkong crossings

very small exhibition in Cologne.
50 photographs, very crudely mixed. Taken on three trips to Hongkong in the years 06 & 07. The vernissage will be taking place on the 18th this month.

Wenn ihr in Koeln lebt und allgemein interessiert seid an Film, Rumgekuenstlere, etc. Schaut auf jeden Fall mal im Elfenbeintuermchen (link siehe unten) rein. Ambitioniertes Projekt eines Bekannten, das nur funktionieren kann wenn sich Leute finden die die dort angestrebte Plattform nutzen und den Raeumen durch Anwesenheit Leben einhauchen.

Photography today

Just found that at a forum.
Sums up pretty good how many people think about photography or THEIR photography nowadays.
"Ich benutze eine Kompakt-Kamera von Canon und Photoshop.
Schöne Fotos würde ich damit sicher hinbekommen, ein paar perfekte vielleicht auch. Darum geht's mir allerdings gar nicht unbedingt. Meine Fotos sollen nicht gefallen, sondern zum Nachdenken anregen, berühren – mitunter auch unangenehm."
"I use a canon compact camera and photoshop. Im sure that i'll be able to take beautiful pictures with it, maybe even some perfect ones. But that's not what's important to me. My pictures should not please the eye but encourage to think, touch... now and then even in an unpleasant way.
